Interesting from a historical perspective and good insight into hidden Gloucester with some interesting stories but few giggles. However the organisation and execution was poor. The tour guide arrived 15minutes late stating her time keeping was poor - and indeed it was. The advertised time for the tour was 1.5 hours. However after 2 hours we were still going. My 87 year old mother was clearly tiring and another member of the group struggled too. The guide stated that the tour would only last a further 5 minutes but continued for 30. We finished a. long way away from our stating point. We left my sons with my Mother and with some instructions from the guide navigated back to the start point to go back with our car, with the help of google maps to collect the rest of the family. We would not have booked this tour had we known the duration

It was fun, knowledgeable and the walk was at a comfortable pace with frequent stops to discuss the buildings and the spooky goings on. Lots of on topic and off topic answers to all questions asked. Meeting location was easy to find. We were a very small group of 3 plus the guide so our experience was extremely conversational and casual. Our walk around Gloucester was slow and the guide pointed out details of buildings with significant histories and shared her own paranormal experiences gained through personal investigation. Tour was augmented with pictures and diagrams on an iPad which worked fine for a small group. She also shared videos and recordings of paranormal nature at relevant sites. Our tour concluded with a trip down a dark and narrow alleyway dating to Roman times and then into a pub cellar which was super creepy and the highlight of the tour for me. Only way it could be even better is entry to enter more sites, but I am sure access to some of these sites (e.g. 800 year old churches) is understandably restricted.

The manner with which this walking ghost tour was delivered was not very well-rehearsed or professional; the stories given regarding each site were flimsy to say the least, and the history provided on each site was minimal (and mostly read haphazardly from an ipad). Based on other tours that I have been on, I expected more structure to the experience, more theatre and more history. Our host, all the same, was a very nice person and was clearly passionate about the paranormal.

We made it to where we were instructed to be at 8:00pm. There was nobody there to take us on the tour. The address was at a building that was closed down with scaffolding all around. We tried calling the number provided in my email numerous times and only received a message machine. We waited around for about 20 minutes, took some selfies near the church across the street, still nobody showed up so we left as it didn’t seem like a very safe neighborhood to be in as it gets dark.

Really enjoyed this tour - probably one of the best and most interesting ghost walks that I have done. The guide (apologies I forgot your name) was very knowledgeable of the general subject of the super natural and the places (and their history) we visited. I particularly enjoyed going into the New Inn and looking around the place (I won't say too much as don't want to give details away but for me that made the walk for me ). I would definitely recommend doing this walk if you visit Gloucester.

Becki pointed out all sorts of interesting places, architecture and local landmarks which we would never have spotted otherwise. There were plenty of ghost stories and it wasn't a gimmicky ghost tour, great for anyone keen on the paranormal or simply wanting to find out more about the history of the area. It was a perfect way to explore Gloucester, well worth the money and would definitely recommend. Thanks G&G👻

Lots of information and a genuine passion for ghosts made this a very worthwhile romp through the city centre and an evening well spent. We were very lucky to be let into a couple of places that we wouldn't be normally but this was just sheer synchronicity and I doubt will be repeated. My only complaint is that sometimes the information was too fast, or not in the relevant place, so it was a little hard to follow. But overall it was entertaining and I would do it again if I come back to Gloucester.

She blended her in depth historical knowledge of Gloucester and its remarkable Cathedral with a sense that there are still many lost souls and spirits “wandering” around having tragically lost their lives under horrid circumstances still “entrapped” within the fabric of the townscape – believe what you must! She showed remarkable research evidence of how some of the old buildings once looked before demolition or underwent significant change, with the use of well organised data stored in tablet form, giving access to some 35,000 textual, photographic, and video footage. Theatrically dressed, our guide was engaging, of good humour, comfortable to be around and obviously liked and known around the town – highly entertaining tour, fully recommended and a change from the normal narrative, could it be called paranormal?

Did this tour in January 2022. First of all it’s rare to find evening walking tours in January, so this was a pleasant gem to find. Communication before the walk was easy and quick, with the host replying to messages quickly and being very helpful. The walk was informative and loads of fun. The title is apt, it really is ghosts and giggles. It’s lovely to see the city at night and learn so many things, you just don’t get told wandering about my yourself. The host had lots of photos and personal anecdotes to add to the already interesting stories. At 2 hours long, the walk is also incredibly good value for money. We would definitely recommend this tour and wish the host all the best for the future.
